What is Fripp Island beach? In a few words: peaceful, uncrowded,
natural.
Fripp beach offers 3½ miles of white sand, protected dunes, gentle
ocean waves, and many forms of marine life, such as starfish, sea
turtles, ghost crabs, horseshoe crabs, sand dollars, and dolphins.
In the air you're likely to see pelicans, egrets, oystercatchers, and the
occasional great blue heron. Skittering along the water's edge can be
found sandpipers, terns, plovers, and dunlins.
Fripp Island itself is a nature preserve, and accordingly, the beach and
its treasures are well-protected and cared for.
Because of the many points of beach access on the Island, you'll find
some parts of the beach to be almost deserted; perfect for a solitary
walk, shell gathering, or just observing the changing tide. Other parts
of the beach are more social; with volleyball games in the sand,
castle-building contests, and refreshments available.
In season, cabana umbrellas and chairs, boogie boards, and surf
kayaks are available for rent near the Beach Club.
The Excursions Department offers rental of wave runners, pontoon
boats, kayaks, and skiffs.

Six pools on Fripp Island each offer unique features and design.
At the Beach Club, located mid-Island, you'll find an olympic-size
pool, steps away from the beach. It offers lanes for lap swimming,
and a kid's pool. Close by are the Lil Dipper Ice Cream Shop, Island
Supreme pizza and sandwich shop, and a fitness room.
Also at the Beach Club is the adult pool, which has a lovely view of
the ocean. Drinks are available from the Sandbar, and live music is a
regular feature during summer months.
At the Cabana Club, located on the south end of the Island, there are
two adult pools to enjoy, with beautiful tropical landscaping, and
views of Skull Inlet and Pritchard’s Island. In between dips into the
pool, adults can also enjoy the outdoor spa, with room for 10-12. The
children have their own pool, complete with a huge alligator slide and
frog fountain. Willie’s Wet Bar serves your favorite drinks poolside,
and lunch can be enjoyed al fresco at Sandals restaurant.
On the north end of Fripp is the Ocean Point pool, just across from
the golf course. Here you can enjoy a swim after playing golf, or
before having lunch or dinner at the Ocean Point Grille.
The Marina Pool, behind the Marina Store, offers a great view of the
marsh. A fresh seafood lunch or dinner is just steps away at the
Bonito Boathouse restaurant.

instruction on eight soft, Fast-Dry courts and two hard surface courts.
Offering sanctioned spring and fall tournaments, a fall college
invitational with nationally-ranked women’s teams, tennis socials,
clinics, drills, and mixers in winter, the Racquet club is busy year-
round.
On Mondays at 5 pm throughout the summer, a fun and exciting pro
exhibition is presented, with prize drawings, discounted beverage
prices, and pro-shop discounts during the exhibition.
Meet U Mixer, for men and women, is a great way to meet playing
partners. This round robin for all skill levels is held on Tuesdays from
5-6:30 pm.
Switch, mix, and play with different partners at Mixed-Up Doubles,
another round robin designed for men and women of all skill levels,
held on Thursdays from 5-6:30 pm.
Round Robin Doubles are held on Friday mornings from 9-11am, and
are organized and run by club members.
